Chennai Runners and their families..
Thanks a bunch for making the Chennai Runners ECR8 run possible. Though rain dampened the spirits a little bit and kept many runners indoors... we had around 50 runners and 20 volunteers brave the soggy weather and make it for the run. As you might appreciate.. this wouldn't have been possible without help and assistance from many folks... I want to take a moment to thank them.. and I am sure you would do to..
Vidyuth, our Event Director - He juggled many commitments and an injury to keep his commitment to running fraternity to organize this run for us. He spent long hours in putting various things in place.. in the midst of his 'busy' shooting schedule. Yes.. he is acting in a TV serial and we will soon have a 'chinna thirai' star in our midst.. Thanks Vidyuth for organizing this 'event / run' for us.
Ramesh Seshadhri - For connecting us with Mayajaal. Your lead made it possible for to secure the 'start / finish' point. We have been trying out various start / end points for our ECR runs in the quest for an optimal spot. Thanks for getting us connected with Mayajaal, which made it possible to extend our run to 35K while still keeping the 'Dolphin City' as our turn around point.
Raveendran - On many fronts... Though you are relatively new to ChennaiRunners, you helped on many fronts.. sponsorship, ambulance, vehichles, Drivers and volunteers (was thrilled to see your Appa get up early to volunteer). Thanks for securing Apollo DKV associate sponsorship and all other things you have done for the ECR8.
Tiger - As usual Tiger roars... He helped us get our 'hydration partner' and as usual pitched in with his car and driver. Thanks Tiger.. your elevate our energy level.. and that is a energy drink in itself.. Glad to have you with us..
Chettinad Hospitals - Thanks Chettinad for providing us with a full crew Ambulance. With your presense, we knew help was not far away in case of emergency. Thanks for pitching in..
Apollo DKV - Thanks for your sponsorship, which is a recognition of our efforts. Your support will help us make these kinds of events better.
Volunteers - Thanks for the bottom of my heart.. without your active support we couldn't have ventured in to organizing these runs.. From Savithri family to Mahesh family to Raveendran's father.. we had some of our youngest and senior most volunteers.. Thanks Guys.. we look forward to your continuing support.
Miracle Man - If there is one guy I would single out for being pivotal to success of ECR runs (not just this one..).. it is this guy. We do not know how he gets things done.. but he simply does. From media contacts to operational stuff to everything in between.. he is always there. He managed to squeeze in a run as well this time.. Have you figured out who I am referrng to? I am sure you did by now.. he does have a name.. and a long one at it.. but we simply call him KK.. Thanks buddy..
