Apollo DKV ECR Run # 9 - Thanks for participating

Dear Chennai Runners

Thanks to all you who participated and volunteered.. you made another edition of our ECR Run memorable. We had around 50 participants and 12+ volunteers who made it all worthwhile.

This time we went back to our old venue MGM as the start and end point and that proved to be a good thing. MGM Resorts had made some improvements to their infrastructure and breakfast was very decent. In fact, the 'hot' Dosa corner was a hit amongst runners.

Thanks to many for making it possible.. First and foremost to our race director Mohan for making the run possible. He had long days at work but quietly worked (put many 'all nighters' as he would call it) in the background to get things going for the run.

Sponsors: Thanks to Apollo DKV & Pepsi for sponsoring the run. Apollo DKV was our title sponsor for the previous ECR run as well and Pepsi has been generous in supplying water & Gatorade for several our ECR runs. Thanks to your support, it helps get more runners on the ground and makes it possible to arrange the events like this.

Volunteers: A big thanks to all the volunteers. You make the run palatable for the runners. You stuck to your post though it was getting hot and happily served the runners. As a runner, I can vouch that there no better site than seeing a water point with helpful volunteers. You guys rock.. !!!

Thanks to Tiger for getting the Pepsi sponsorship..

Many thanks to Raveendran for helping us secure the Apollo DKV sponsorship.

Thanks to Ramani and Vimal for trekking up and down to take some great photos as keepsake. You can access the photos here and here.

Overall, the run was great. As always we welcome your feedback to make it better. Please pass on your comments to anyone of us and we will ensure future runs take that in to consideration.

Next ECR Run: Now that the dog days of summer is upon us in Chennai, we will go easy on our runs and will look to have the next edition in July / Aug timeframe (may be an Independence Day run ?)
